How Do I Make An Appointment?

Telephone lines open at 8.00 am. blood_pressure4You can make an appointment with the Doctor or Nurse by phoning the Surgery on 0151 511 5805, we also have pre-bookable appointments up to 2 weeks in advance for a GP or 4 weeks in advance for a Nurse and HCA. You will be care navigated by one of reception team when you make your appointment they will ask for a brief description for your call so they can navigate your appointment to the correct clinician. 

You have a right to express a preference of practitioner and we will do our best to give you an appointment with the Doctor of your choice.  Should your preferred Doctor not have a free appointment you will be offered an appointment with another GP in the practice.

We offer Extended Access appointment for patients who need an appointment after 6.30pm weekdays or on a Saturday morning.  Call our reception team on 01515115805 and ask for an appointment via our Enhanced Access service, we offer face 2 face and telephone appointments also smear and blood appointments of an evening and on a Saturday. These appointments will be based at Highfield Hospital, Highfield Road.

You can also book your appointments via Patient On Lines Services You will need to create an account first by logging into NHS app once your account has been verified you will be able to book and cancel appointments on line as well as other great benefits such as ordering your prescriptions.  Go to the NHS app website to find out more information.

We also have a text reminder service at the Practice to take advantage of this service please ensure your mobile contact details are correct with our Reception Team. We will be able to text you your appointment and a reminder 24hrs before the appointment and you will be able to cancel your appointment via the text service.

You will never be refused to see a Doctor if one is available. 

Please remember that appointments are for ONE person only. If you feel your consultation may be lengthy, ask the Receptionist for a DOUBLE APPOINTMENT when you book.

DNA Policy - If you no longer need your appointment please let us know asap. The practice has a policy on patients not attending appointments (see attachment below) which in extreme cases can result in the patient being removed from our practice list.  If you wish to cancel any future appointments you can do so by either; calling 01515115805 option 1 or Respond Cancel to your text appointment reminder.

Please help us to utilise our appointments as best as possible by cancelling any future appointments that you do not need.
